The guest house operating as a Bed and Breakfast, located in the Andalusian quarter, aims to offer an experience different from other riad fes. Indeed, the guest house opened in January 2010, following long renovation works carried out between 2008 and 2010. These works allow each guest of the riad to benefit from a private toilet and bathroom in all of our rooms for rent in Fes.
Traditional riad with swimming pool
The guest house close to the Andalusian mosque has undeniable assets to welcome travelers from all over the world. A very large patio area with 100m2 available to all our guests, where a swimming pool built specially for the riad stands. This swimming pool, appreciated by riad guests, is both a place to relax listening to the flowing fountains and a body-cooling refreshment during the heat of Northern Morocco.
A terrace with a view over the Fes medina
The riad fes called Riad Jamai has a 360 degree terrace with a view overlooking the medina. At the time when the muezzins call to prayer, the terrace of the Riad in the Andalusian quarter witnesses the beauty of this medina as it lives to the rhythm of Islam. The terrace is very pleasant in the evening when the floor bejmats release the heat stored throughout the day.
Other rooms are available to our guests in the riad, a library on the 1st floor below the saffron suite. A traditional lounge with a TV adjoins the patio where taking the time for a mint tea corresponds to the idea one has of a stay in a riad.
The Fes medina, What can be found there?
The team invites you to read the different paragraphs dedicated to the riches of the medina such as the foundouks of Fes, the madrasas associated with almost every mosque, the squares such as Attarine, Nejjarine, Seffarine, the 14 gates that surround Fes El Bali. The list is long regarding activities and things to do in the Fes medina, provided you have the boldness to push open a few doors and start a conversation with the friendly shopkeepers. This is a natural transition to discovering the different souks of the old town, for example, the R’cif souk is a must to discover, smell, wander around and marvel at these well-stocked, colorful displays where the product takes center stage on time-worn stalls.
