The Moroccan airline, created in 2009, continues its development from the city of Fes, where it is based at the international airport of Fes.

The year 2017 saw commercial agreements signed between certain European cities and the airline. As part of this development, 7 European countries now have access, within 3 to 4 hours of flight, to the wonderful thousand-year-old medina.

The cities of Rome, Barcelona, London-Gatwick, Brussels, Lyon, Strasbourg, Rome and Amsterdam all have a direct line landing at Fes-Saïss airport.

Fes: a city on the move

In the midst of developing its tourist and leisure infrastructure and facilities, the city of Fes is undergoing a transformation. Known since 2007, I can testify to the evolution that Fes has undertaken, notably with the help of international funds dedicated to the restoration of the medina. Still too dependent on short stays, Fes needs to offer activities alongside its main attraction, the medina.

It is for these reasons that a major development plan was created with the goal of achieving a mature level of hospitality and activities for travelers from around the world, by 2020.

An airline that wins unanimous approval in Fes

Air Arabia has managed, in less than 10 years, to become an airline to be reckoned with. Since its creation, the company has continuously explored new markets and thus opened new routes with Morocco. This airline’s commercial success is a real opportunity for Morocco and especially for Fes, which benefits from having such a key tourism player. The fate of the city of Fes and its region is partly tied to the success of the Moroccan airline.

An obvious idea! Yet it’s a first: a route between Marrakech and Fes

What a great idea to set up a route between Marrakech, the leading tourist city in the Kingdom, and the preserved gem of Fes. Marrakech, Morocco’s tourist capital, represents a pool of potential visitors for Fes tourism. Since stays are longer than in the Fes medina, the option of stopping for 2 or 3 days in one of the imperial cities can be of real interest to travelers from Marrakech.

Air Arabia therefore had an excellent idea with this Marrakech-Fes flight, and what’s more, at a fare of 250dhs per flight.

In summary, in June 2017, Air Arabia offers the following round trips with the city of Fes:

Montpellier-Fes, Toulouse-Fes, Paris-Fes, Bordeaux-Fes, Rome-Fes, Barcelona-Fes, London-Gatwick-Fes, Brussels-Fes, Lyon-Fes, Strasbourg-Fes, Rome-Fes and Amsterdam-Fes

In total, 6 routes with France, 1 route with England, 1 route with Belgium, 1 route with the Netherlands, 1 route with Italy and 1 route with Spain.

German tourists are also interested in the Fes destination; at Riad Jamaï, one of the riads in fes, the team regularly sees Germans settling in for a few days in one of our guesthouse rooms.
